Allantoin
Allantoin is a nitrogenous compound found naturally in comfrey root, wheat sprouts, and the urine of many mammals. In skincare it is prized for its ability to soothe and soften the skin, stimulate cell renewal, and increase the water content of the stratum corneum. It is exceptionally gentle and used in products for sensitive and reactive skin.
